Personal). The aim of this organisation is to improve the quality
of life, working to achieve that the human environment is accessible
for all.
As head of CRID and as an expert with the Barcelona City Council,
he has been director of various projects financed by the European
Union, such as SITPRE, DG Transport and various HORIZON programs.
As well as being head of accessibility projects and Design for All,
he is also adviser and manager of projects for administrations and
for private and public companies: urbanism, transport, computer
mechanisms, telecommunications, industrial products and urban furniture.
Mr. Aragall also participates in the coordination of de Design for
All, of which he represents the Spanish network for the European
Institute for Design and Disability (EIDD).
Furthermore, he is director of the Design for All Information Exchange
Europe (DAIEE) project, which was constituted in January 1998 and
signed by 58 European private and public organisations.
1999-2000
Adviser to the
European Commission on the adaptation of the CEN regulations in
New Technologies.
1998-2003
Presently, he
is General Director of the company, ProAsolutions (an accessibility
and Design for All consultancy, with its premises in Barcelona)
and President of the Design for All Foundation.
He is also lecturer in various masters and doctorate courses at
the University of Barcelona and at the University of Lisbon as well
as author of the European Concept of Accessibility (2003 edition).
